If the Altherma HT starts becoming wonky after only 8 months, I'm just concerned that my huge investment on the heat pump technology won't last for the 10years I had expected. The unit seems to work fine at outside temperatures above 5 degrees heating the house to 18 degrees without issue. However as soon as the the temperature drops defrost cycles increase in frequency.
