Carburators-If you look at a GT6 intake manifold the carb inlet are lower than the ports on the head. This lowers the carbs to clear the hood. The TR6 manifold inlet and outlet are level. Although I've read others opinions, I don't know if one unmodified or unported head of the same thickness would be better than another...Maybe there is empirical data that I haven't seen. Porting if done right can make a difference, though.

When building a 2500S saloon engine recently for my GT6, I wanted to raise the compression ratio from 8.5:1 up to 9 or 9.25:1.
