WebPE-Texas Red is a red-emitting tandem fluorophore that combines pycoerythrin (PE) and Texas Ted. The donor molecule, PE can be excited by the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser and and transfers energy to the acceptor molecule, Texas Red, which emitts light that can be captured with a 610/20 nm bandpass filter. WebPE-Texas Red tandem is a conjugate of PE with Texas Red. It can be excited by blue laser with emission at 610 nm. It is extremely useful for flow cytometry-based immunoassays. Figure 2.
